Help Us Tell the Story of Downtown
Did you cruise 3rd Street in high school? Was your favorite Saturday morning treat a visit to Jack Frost Donuts? Did you buy your first piece of furniture from the Hartley family? We’re looking for photos, videos and memories that help tell the story of Downtown Lee’s Summit. We want to build a collection that helps to document the events, businesses, buildings, and people that have made Downtown Lee’s Summit such a special place to call home over the last 150 years.
This new archive will focus on the preservation of those special memories and help us tell the story of Downtown Lee’s Summit’s transformation. You can submit either digital or physical images, videos and stories. All original photos and videos will be returned to their owners once a digital copy has been made.
These photos, memories and videos will be shared over the next year as Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street celebrates its 30th anniversary in the revitalization of Downtown Lee’s Summit. These images, videos and stories will be preserved and become a wonderful resource for future generations. Please submit your photos, videos or stories by Friday, August 2, 2019.
