Spellbinding Shopping at Witches Eve
Two dozen businesses in Downtown Lee’s Summit will stay open late until 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 3rd for Witches Eve. Shoppers are invited to a wicked night out with their ghoul squad to enjoy exclusive specials, tasty beverages and snacks, and support the small businesses in the community. The event is free to attend.
Witches Eve has become a beloved annual tradition. “We look forward to Witches Eve because the energy in downtown is absolutely buzzing that night, and it’s fun to see everyone all dressed up. I’ve never seen so many people dressed as witches, and I’ve been to Salem,” said Barb Keller, owner of All A’Bloom Flowers and Gifts.
Photographers Alyisa Owen and Bernadette Emerson will host a photo opportunity for attendees inside Third Street Studio, along with spooky snacks and drinks. Retailers Team Cocktail and Xpressions Boutique are each offering a free gift with purchase that night. Luxxe Apparel will offer 15% off storewide, while neighbor Embers Candle Bar on Douglas Street will offer 15% off all pre-poured candles.
Several businesses will host a pop-up vendor to highlight a new line of products or offer a special attraction for customers. The Purple Hippopotamus, a new children’s boutique on SE Main Street, will host Fountain City Charms to provide custom bracelets. Just down the street, KD’s Books will host Luxxe Links to offer permanent jewelry. Customers can sample a delicious selection of cheese dips from KC Classic at A Thyme for Everything, and then head over to Poppy’s Ice Cream to purchase cookies from their pop-up vendor. Shoppers at The Trove can enjoy a custom patch bar with hats, tote bags, and denim jackets. The evening promises plenty of cackles and booze, as Fringe Beerworks will offer an All Day Happy Hour special, and El Plato Mexican Grill will be pouring Witches Potion Margaritas alongside free cheese dip.
