Fourth Fridays Art Walk celebrates Earth Day, April 22
Looking for something to do this weekend? Tonight? We’ve got just the thing!
Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street is hosting it’s second Fourth Fridays Art Walk of the season on Friday, April 22. The theme is eARTh Day and the participating artists were encouraged to incorporate a theme of reused or recycling in their works to display for the event. Mingle with artists and visit participating businesses from 5-8pm.
Art featured during the event includes many different mediums like paint, colored pencil, ceramics, collage, and even a few handmade benches being revealed through the public art project called RestART.
The Artist Reception and reveal of the RestART pieces is scheduled to begin at 6pm at Got Art Gallery. Wine and light appetizers will be provided.
Want to BE a local artist for the night? Visit one (or both) of these interactive painting activities for the whole family:
- Paint your own flower pot and get a seed packet to take home and bring some life to your outdoor space! Painting will be setup outside Fossil Forge from 5-7pm.
- Paint and leave a rock to be used as part of a future community beautification project! Painting will be setup inside The Space from 5-7pm.
