Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street Announces Promotion of Jody Fristoe to Executive Director
Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street announces the promotion of Jody Fristoe to Executive Director. Fristoe, a Lee’s Summit area resident since 1978, joined the organization in December 2014 as Director of Events and Promotions.
Jody Fristoe is a graduate of Lee’s Summit High School and the University of Missouri-Columbia with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Her professional experience in the wholesale marketing industry included sales, sales management, customer service, maintaining retail relationships, overall office administration, showroom and merchandising display, and trade show event management. In addition, Jody has held many leadership positions for various nonprofit, volunteer and community service organizations in the Lee’s Summit area.
According to Fristoe, “I come to work every day with joy! Downtown Lee’s Summit continues to be the heart of our city’s cultural, governmental, and family activities. I have a vision for how to continue the momentum, expand our reach and strengthen our existing relationships with investors, sponsors, merchants, stakeholders and the surrounding community.”
Lynn Hinkle, President of the Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street’s Board of Directors, says “We are very excited to have Jody as our new Executive Director. She brings a wealth of experience in retail/wholesale merchant sales and relationships, fundraising, and event planning.”
Fristoe resides in Lee’s Summit with her husband, Daren, and has two children currently attending the University of Missouri-Columbia.
