Notice of Street Closures for Downtown Days
June 3-9, 2025
During the Downtown Days Festival in Downtown Lee’s Summit, streets and parking areas along the railroad tracks including S.W. Main Street from Second to Fourth streets and Third Street from Market to Green Streets will be closed.
The Street closure schedule is as follows:
- Tuesday, June 3 at 5 pm: SW Main St from Second to Fourth St and the parking lot south of the History Museum
- Wednesday, June 4 at 5 pm: Third St from Jefferson St to the train tracks
- Thursday, June 5 at 10 am: All other streets between Jefferson to Green St and Second to Fourth St.
All streets will reopen by 8 am on Monday, June 9.
Parking and Drop-off Information
Long term parking for Amtrak riders can be found in the following parking lots:
- Public Parking lot north of the old Post Office (210 SW Market St.)
- Public Parking Garage at the corner of Second and Green St
(220 SE Green St.)
For Amtrak riders who are being dropped off near the train station, SW Main St will be closed between 2nd and 4th streets. Riders may be dropped off at east bound ramp off of 2nd Street.
Tow Areas
If your car has been towed due to the Downtown Days Festival, it will be located in the public parking lot north of the old Post Office (210 SW Market St.).
Amtrak's Missouri River Runner provides twice-daily service between Kansas City and St. Louis, serving major cities along the Missouri River corridor. The approximately 283-mile journey takes about 5 hours and 40 minutes each way.
Lee's Summit Station Information
- Location: Just steps from downtown restaurants and shops at 217 SW Main
- Parking: Free 2-hour on-street parking is available or free long-term parking is available at the public lot at 204 SW Market or the free public parking garage at 200 SE Green
