Santa is riding the Missouri River Runner this holiday season, and he’s making a stop in Downtown Lee’s Summit!

On Saturday, December 5, Santa will be aboard Train #311, leaving St. Louis at 8:10 AM and rolling into Lee’s Summit at 1:03 PM. On Sunday, December 6, he’ll be on Train #318, leaving Kansas City at 8:40 AM and stopping in Lee’s Summit at 9:16 AM on his way to St. Louis. Board or get off at any stop along the route, including Lee’s Summit, Independence, Warrensburg, Sedalia, Jefferson City, Hermann, Washington and Kirkwood.

Once on board, kids of all ages can take a photo with Santa, do crafts, color and get a special treat from the big guy himself.

Make it a full holiday outing by pairing your ride with a visit to Downtown Lee’s Summit. Our shops, restaurants and holiday happenings are just steps from the station.

🏙️ 1:50 PM: Arrive in KC for a little big-city holiday cheer
🚂 4:05 PM: Head home on the eastbound train
✨ 4:41 PM: Back to Lee’s Summit at dusk to see all the holiday lights across town

Please note: There is not a separate ticket for the event. Attendees will need to purchase train tickets for either the westbound Train #311 on Saturday, December 5, or the eastbound train #318 on Sunday, December 6. Amtrak tickets are one-way. If you plan to return via train, please be sure to purchase return tickets for the time you plan to return to your point of origin by train.
