Please join Summit Art on Saturday, May 30 for the closing awards presentation and reception for the 6th Annual Plein Air Festival. Attendees will have the chance to meet over 50 artists from across the Mid-west. These artists have created over 100+ cumulative works of art en Plein Air (out in the open) over the span of four days in a variety of environments and weather conditions. See what’s been created and maybe find your next art piece for your personal collection. Food trucks and cash bar will be available.
The awards presentation is the culmination of four days of artists painting en Plein Air (out in the open) at historical and botanical locations in and around Lee’s Summit. The Festival opens Wednesday, May 27 with artists painting at Missouri Town Living History Museum. Thursday, artist will be set up at various locations around New Longview. The on Friday, artists travel to Powell Gardens to capture the beauty of Missouri’s rolling prairie hills and curated botanical gardens. Saturday brings the artists to the heart of downtown Lee’s Summit where artists will be painting to capture the charm and history of downtown from 9:00am – 3:00pm.
The closing reception is a great way to see the variety of works created by talented artists in different environments and weather conditions throughout the four-day festival.
