Boos, Barks & Badges Halloween Parade Starts at Green Street
Downtown Lee’s Summit is bringing back the walking parade to their annual Boos, Barks & Badges event on Saturday, October 25th. Festivities will kick off at Green Street, starting with a Costume Contest at 9:30 a.m. Contestants will line up along the plaza for a chance to win awards in five categories. Join the walking parade down 3rd Street at 10 a.m. and stick around for fun and games in Howard Station Park.
Boos, Barks & Badges is presented by Preferred Bank, in partnership with the Lee’s Summit Police and Fire Departments and Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street (DLSMS). Following the walking parade, families are invited to explore the fleet of police and fire department vehicles and displays along SE Main Street. Be sure to snap a family photo in the pumpkin-studded fall backdrop near the red train caboose. Volunteers at the DLSMS booth will be handing out treat bags and maps for children to enjoy trick-or-treating at over 20 downtown businesses until Noon (or until the candy runs out!)
Boos, Barks & Badges is made possible thanks to the generous support of Preferred Bank, Arvest Bank, Dog Training Elite, The Donovan Luxury Apartments, Renewal by Andersen, Camp Bow Wow, Security Bank of Kansas City, Rocktops Granite + Stone Fabrication, Thermal King Windows, and Whataburger.
