What To Know Before You Go to Boos, Barks & Badges
Downtown Lee’s Summit is changing up their annual Boos, Barks & Badges event from a walking parade to a block party on Saturday, October 26th. While City Hall Plaza is currently under construction, attendees can park in the free garage at 2nd & Green Street and head straight up to SE Main Street to enjoy games, face painting, balloon animals, and trick-or-treating. The event kicks off at 9:30 a.m. with a Costume Contest in Howard Station Park. Bring the whole family, along with your furry friends of course, to participate for a chance to win prizes and awards in five categories.
Boos, Barks & Badges is presented by Aristocrat Motors, in partnership with the Lee’s Summit Police and Fire Departments and Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street (DLSMS). Families will marvel at the fleet of police and fire department vehicles displayed along SE Main Street. Pick up a treat bag and a map at the DLSMS booth, and visit all 26 Downtown businesses to trick-or-treat until noon (or until the candy runs out!)
Boos, Barks & Badges is made possible thanks to the generous support of Arvest Bank, Dog Training Elite, Renewal by Andersen, Camp Bow Wow, Security Bank of Kansas City, Rocktops Granite + Stone Fabrication, and Summit Pet Care.
Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the revitalization and preservation of historic Downtown Lee’s Summit. For more information about this event or other upcoming Downtown Lee’s Summit events, visit www.downtownls.org/events.
