Downtown Gift Cards for Frontline Workers

Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street and the Downtown Lee’s Summit Community Improvement District are supporting the City of Lee’s Summit’s “Take Time to Be Kind” campaign by donating $12,300 in Downtown Lee’s Summit gift cards to the employees at Truman Medical Center Lakewood and Lee’s Summit Medical Center. These hardworking frontline workers have been diligently working to keep our communities safe and we want to thank them for their service!

“We saw an opportunity to give back and show kindness to the people who have given so much of themselves during the pandemic,” shared Donnie Rodgers, Executive Director for Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street.

These promotional cards are redeemable at more than 60 locations in Downtown Lee’s Summit. That means every dollar spent stays in the community and supports family-owned small businesses.

“We are thankful for all the generosity our community has shown our hospital and employees as we’ve worked hard to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic,” said John McDonald, Chief Executive Officer at Lee’s Summit Medical Center. “Thank you to Downtown Lee’s Summit and the Community Improvement District for further recognizing our employees and their dedication to taking care of our community.”
