Piccadilly Gala Will Offer Tropical Trips and Celebrity Memorabilia
The Piccadilly Gala Planning Committee is pleased to announce some great auction items and new twists at the popular event. The 7th Annual Piccadilly Gala: Polynesian Paradise is a ladies night out and auction benefit for Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street, Inc, and is scheduled for October 1st at The Pavilion at John Knox Village. A limited number of tickets are still available.
Guests will have the chance to bid on two great tropical trips. Dr. Lisa Layne of Holistic Options and Marlene Alley of Infinity Realty have donated a stress reduction trip to Costa Rica, up for bid in the silent auction. A 3-night trip to Jamaica for two at an all-inclusive five star hotel will be featured in the Piccadilly live-auction, where guests bid on amazing items for mere quarters.
The Committee is also pleased to announce the addition of autographed memorabilia, including a Carlos Santana guitar, a Michael Jackson record album, a U2 record album, an 8×10 photograph of Angelina Jolie, and a 16×20 photograph of Miley Cyrus. All autographed items may be bid on in the silent auction. Other great items available this year include furniture from Cameron’s Home Furnishings, a Girlfriends Retreat Package from The Elms Resort & Spa, a cultured pearl necklace and earring set from GoldnDesigns, and much more.
Guests are encouraged to dress for the theme by wearing tropical cocktail or cruise attire, but are asked not to wear flip flops or Hawaiian shirts to the formal event. All guests will receive a tote bag filled with fun items, and a free t-shirt. Dinner includes tropically-themed food from Maxwell’s Downtown Grill, such as macadamia hummus, huli huli chicken, macaroons, and cheesecake with mango sauce. The ever popular male volunteers, or Cabana Boys, will be wearing island attire. Piccadilly Gala tickets are still available at $50 each or $400 for a table of eight. Advanced purchase is required.
