Promotions - Selling the image of downtown by marketing the unique characteristics of downtown to shoppers, investors, new businesses and visitors.  Our strategy; a positive image through advertising, retail promotion activity, special events and marketing campaigns carried out by committee and other volunteers.

Design - Works to encourage appropriate aesthetics in the downtown; e.g. appropriate building rehabs, and in fill design; downtown cleanliness. Capitalizing on downtown assets- such as historic buildings.  Creating an inviting atmosphere through window displays, parking areas, signs, sidewalks, streetlights, and landscaping.

Economic Restructuring - Works to identify new market opportunities for the downtown, find new uses for historic commercial buildings, and stimulate investment in property.  Also assisting with business expansion and recruitment.

Organization - Getting everyone working toward the same goal. Building consensus and cooperation among the groups that have an important stake in the district.  Works to recruit volunteers, gives input on organizational structure and helps to build strong committees.
